Welcome to my blog! I am Jooyoung Yoo (Korean: 유주영), a student exploring Religion and Society and boundaries between them. I graduated from Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary (PUTS, Korean: 장로회신학대학교) with my bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Christian Education and M.Div. degree in theology. After finishing theological education, I pursued a Master in Religious Studies with a focus on “Religion and Society” at the Seoul National University (Korean: 서울대학교). During my master’s program, I developed a sociological perspective on religion under the guidance of my advisor, Professor Song Chong Lee , who specializes in religion and society, civil religion, and the dynamics of religious movements. With his guidance, I delved into religion and politics, religious nationalism, religious ethnocentrism, and religion and conflict.
